Introducing Myself

I am a 22 year old women living in the United Kingdom. I live in a small village on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, this is perfect for me. I love to think and be still, nature is a central aspect of my existence.

Currently, I am studying for a degree in Early Years Education while working at an outdoor based preschool. Children have an inspiring curiosity about the world, it has massively inspired me to embrace my inner child. Working with young children in nature is a dream of mine of which I am lucky enough to have achieved so far. I am eternally grateful.

“We cannot wander at pleasure among the educational systems of the world, like a child strolling through a garden, and pick off a flower from one bush and some leaves from another, and then expect that if we stick what we have gathered into the soil at home, we shall have a living plant.” Sadler (1964)

This blog is a place for me to express myself and share my photographs with the world. I am seeking to meet like minded people through my images and words. I truly hope to connect.

The First Blog Post…

I haven’t got anything prepared yet so bare with me…..

I plan to discuss my experiences in life with nature and other things that cross my path,

I should explain the name, the slumber snail. I’m a highly sensitive, low energy, introvert with a passion for nature and all things quiet. To me, this sounds like a snail in slumber, taking life as it comes.

I love to explore the outdoors, but not in a hardcore walker style, but at my own pace. Taking in every sound and smell of the forest or moorland.

I hope you stick around and enjoy my images alongside some nonsensical thoughts.
